Bushing Materials

  1. Boneham Micro Sized Drill Bushings (.0130" -.0400" bores) are manufactured from tool steel and are "through hardened" to Rc 62 - 64.

  2. Standard Boneham Drill Bushings (over .0400" bore) are manufactured from steel which demonstrates excellent wear resistance and dimensional stability characteristics. This material is "hardened" to Rc 62 - 64.

  3. All Boneham Drill Bushings (.0625" bore and over) are offered in our Premium 'NITRALLOY'. Boneham NITRALLOY Drill Bushings are "NITRIDED" to a depth of .013" to Rc 67 - 69 equivalent. NITRALLOY Nitrided drill bushings demonstrate superior wear resistance and dimensional stability characteristics.

  4. Our Sales Service Representatives will be glad to provide you with a quotation on those bushings which have material requirements that are different from our standard materials, ie. SAE 52100, M-2 HSS, Stainless Steel, 0-6 Tool Steel, Carbide, Bronze (both sintered and wrought), and D-2 Tool Steel.
